History
Founded in 1992, the Galerie d'art Jean-Claude-Bergeron is located in downtown Ottawa in close proximity of the Byward Market and a step away from the National Gallery of Canada. It is situated in a heritage Victorian residence "La Maison Rochon", named for one of the principal wood carvers of the nearby Notre-Dame Basilica.
Jean-Claude Bergeron, owner and artistic director, himself a professional artist has a vast experience in visual arts and a particular expertise in the field of printmaking (etching, lithography, silkscreen). He will be pleased to provide guidance in the purchase of original quality works, expert consulting services for the establishment and development of personal and corporate art collections and advice in the selection and visual presention of distinctive corporate and diplomatic gifts.
The gallery has a Collectors' Club offering privileges all the year round. Dues are $50 annually. However, any purchase in the amount of $500 or more entitles the buyer to a membership card for a year. For more information about the Collectors Club call the gallery at 562-7836.
