In a Victorian house in the heart of the ByWard Market, where you can find one of the
finest collection of Canadian and international contemporary art.
As Picasso has done before him, with his art dealer Ambroise Vollard, (The Vollard Suite), Marc Séguin has created for his gallerist Jean-Claude Bergeron, a suite of etchings known as La Suite Ottawa.
The artist Marc Séguin being a native of Ottawa and the Galerie Jean-Claude Bergeron being located in Ottawa, explains the title La Suite Ottawa for this collection.
Edited at 25 copies (except for the No.3 which has 20), the Suite includes 25 different editions. All refer to well-known characters whose often tumultuous life marked our collective imagination.
The Suite is now completed. A special exhibition of the complete Suite, including the copper plates, has been presented at the gallery from the 6 th to the 30th October 2022.
