Wyczolkowski, Leszek

Leszek Wyczolkowski was born into a family of artists in Poland. His formal education commenced at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and continued here in Canada at the Ontario College of Art and Design. He has attended self-directed residencies at The Banff Centre for Art and Creativity, embracing the pristine nature as inspiration. Leszek has exhibited in over two hundred solo and group shows around the world. His works can be found in numerous museums, corporate, public and private collections. In 2014, Wyczolkowski self-published his book entitled, “Beyond Geometry The Art of Leszek Wyczolkowski”.

“There is a strong cohesiveness with nature in my work, things organic and cosmic, with a glimpse of life under the microscope.  Imaged organic plates and purely geometrical plates are carefully positioned to initiate dialogue between the two, be it comparison or contrast. Empty space is fundamental, it is there within the void that the imagination flourishes and processes the imagery in the composition.”
